1. Who we are and how to reach us
These terms are between you and Verivello Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales (Company Number 17175225), with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
You can contact us at info@verivello.co.uk. We aim to respond to enquiries within one business day.
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using Verivello, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Verivello on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so for that business or organisation.
The version of these terms shown at the time you use the service applies. We recommend saving or printing a copy for your records.
3. Our service
Verivello provides Vera, an AI assistant for UK company intelligence. Through a chat interface you can look up UK-registered companies, their directors and persons with significant control, view company profiles and filed-accounts information, and run public-record checks. Information is drawn from publicly available registers and records, which may include Companies House, the FCA Register, the ICO Register, UK sanctions lists, Land Registry and filed company accounts.
We offer a free tier and two paid plans, Pro and Premium, as described on our pricing page. The features included in each plan are set out on that page and may be updated from time to time. Some data depends on the company type, sector, public filing history and availability of source data.
4. Your account & subscription
Our free tier lets you ask Vera a limited number of questions each day without an account. Full access to Vera requires a paid subscription (Pro or Premium), which begins when your first payment is taken successfully. You are responsible for keeping your account login details secure and for activity carried out under your account.
We may suspend or decline access where we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully or inappropriately, or where required by law.
5. Pricing, payment & VAT
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). The price shown at checkout is the price you will pay. If VAT applies, it will be included in the price or clearly shown at checkout.
The Pro and Premium plans are recurring monthly subscriptions. Payment is taken via Stripe, our payment processor, when you subscribe and on each renewal date until you cancel. We do not store your card details. By subscribing you agree to be bound by Stripe's Terms of Service; Stripe's use of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
You can cancel at any time from your account; your subscription then remains active until the end of the current billing period and is not renewed. If a payment is declined, we may suspend your access until payment succeeds.
We may change our prices at any time. We will give reasonable notice of any change affecting your subscription, and price changes will not apply to a billing period you have already paid for.
6. Access & availability
Vera and the related online features are provided over the internet and are normally available immediately once your subscription is active.
We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. If you experience access issues, contact us at info@verivello.co.uk.
7. Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
If you are a consumer (an individual purchasing otherwise than in the course of a business), you may have a right to cancel within 14 calendar days of subscribing, without giving a reason.
Verivello is a digital service supplied immediately on subscription. Where you ask us to begin providing the service during the 14-day period, you acknowledge that your right to cancel may be lost once the service has been fully supplied for that period. In any case, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account; you will retain access until the end of the current billing period.
If you wish to cancel or have a billing question, you can manage your subscription in your account or email us at info@verivello.co.uk.
This section describes consumer rights. Business customers do not have the same consumer cancellation rights.
8. Refunds
Subscriptions are billed in advance for each monthly period. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the period already paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not generally provide partial refunds for time remaining in a billing period, except:
- Where required by your statutory rights as a consumer
- Where a paid feature was substantially unavailable for an extended period due to a fault on our side, which we were unable to resolve within a reasonable time
- Where we agree a refund at our discretion
To raise a billing question or request a refund, email info@verivello.co.uk. Eligible refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
9. Nature of our service & no advice
Our service draws on data published by public registers, public bodies and other publicly available sources. We take reasonable care, but we cannot guarantee that third-party source data is complete, current or free from errors at the time it is shown.
The platform and Vera's responses are provided for informational and background research purposes only. They do not constitute and must not be relied upon as legal, financial, tax, regulatory, investment, accounting or any other form of professional advice.
Verivello is not a credit reference agency and is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Any observations, summaries or commentary Vera provides are based on publicly available data only. They are not a credit score, credit assessment, regulatory decision, AML/KYC certification or professional opinion.
You are responsible for making your own independent assessment of any company and for taking appropriate professional advice before making business, financial, employment, tenancy or other decisions.
10. Intellectual property
Your access to the Verivello platform is for your own internal business use. Vera's responses and other platform output are licensed for your own internal business use only — you may share them within your organisation and with professional advisers acting for you, but you must not resell, sublicense, publish or distribute the platform output or any substantial part of it to third parties without our prior written consent.
The underlying public-source data remains subject to the relevant source terms, including the Open Government Licence v3.0 where applicable. The Verivello platform itself, and our original formatting, compilation, summaries and commentary, remain the intellectual property of Verivello Ltd.
11. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Verivello service and any reports only for lawful, fair and proportionate purposes. In particular, you must not:
- Use the service to harass, stalk, threaten or harm any individual
- Use the service to make unlawful or unfair decisions about individuals, including employment, tenancy, credit or insurance decisions
- Use the service in a way that breaches UK GDPR, the Equality Act 2010 or any other applicable law
- Use the service in connection with fraudulent, criminal or money-laundering activity
- Represent our service or its output as your own work product, as a regulated credit report, or as produced by a regulated firm
- Resell or commercialise access or output without our written consent
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account of any user who breaches these acceptable use provisions.
12. Our liability to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any liability that cannot be excluded under consumer protection law.
Subject to the above, and to the extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability to you in connection with the service will not exceed the total subscription fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or, if you use only the free plan, £50)
- We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of opportunity or reputational damage
- We are not liable for losses arising from changes to public records after data is shown, inaccuracies in third-party source data, or your use of the service for purposes outside these terms
13. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. By creating an account, subscribing or using the service you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read our Privacy Policy.
Where the service includes information about individuals, such as directors or persons with significant control, that information is sourced from public registers or other public sources. Our Privacy Policy explains the lawful basis on which we process that information.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The version in force at the time you use the service applies. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
15. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at info@verivello.co.uk so that we can try to resolve it informally.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
We are not currently committed to a specific alternative dispute resolution provider. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, we will consider reasonable proposals for mediation or another suitable dispute-resolution process.
